Set up in Shopify

  1. Install the app in Shopify and open it from Apps. On Home, choose an artwork product and try the preview.
  2. Select Add block on Home. The deep link opens Shopify's theme editor on the product template. Add the Wall preview app block to the product section and save. The button is added as its own row. In some themes, such as Horizon, it appears below the product images. You can drag it up or down within the section in the theme editor. Whether it can sit directly beside Add to cart depends on the theme. Repeat for other product templates you use. Return to Home and select Check again.
  3. Open Products & sizes. Choose Selected products; Pro also supports all products, a collection or a tag. On Free, choose up to 3 products; adding a fourth product prompts you to upgrade to Pro. Run the size check, review unresolved options, and map labels such as Small to their real width and height. Use a product's detail page for artwork selection, crop, size mappings and exclusions. Verify physical sizes against the product before publishing.
  4. In Appearance, configure purchasable frames and mats and map them to actual product options. A fixed frame is available where appropriate. Preview these settings and save.
  5. Choose the enabled sample rooms, their order and default in Appearance. Shoppers can try these without uploading a room photo.
  6. Open Billing to review Free or Pro and manage your plan through Shopify. Free shows the preview on up to 3 products you choose in Products & sizes, with a small attribution mark and no monthly preview cap. Pro costs $19.99 every 30 days with a 7-day free trial, unlimited products, no attribution mark and full analytics. There are no usage charges at launch.

Uninstall and data deletion

Uninstall in Shopify's app settings. Sessions are removed immediately; Shopify normally sends shop/redact about 48 hours later to remove shop settings, mappings, overrides, daily counts, billing records and tracked photo jobs/files. Limited hash-keyed quota/trial records, pseudonymized analytics and webhook receipts remain as explained in the privacy policy. A shopper can remove a remembered room using Forget this room or browser site-data controls. See the Privacy policy link under Your data on Home; contact details are in that policy.

FAQ

Why is the size approximate?

Scale depends on the reference dimensions and corner positions. Use a flat reference on the same wall as the artwork. A small reference or only one dimension without focal-length information gives an approximate result. Skip leaves size uncalibrated and enables resizing. Check the on-screen ruler and measure the wall before buying.

What do the reference options mean?

Paper uses A4 or Letter dimensions. Door starts at 203 × 80 cm; edit both dimensions to match your actual door. Wall section uses a measured rectangle. Something else accepts your known width and/or height. Mark all four corners. Two known dimensions, or one dimension with usable photo focal information, enable calibrated scale. Skip is for a visual impression only.

Can shoppers use HEIC photos?

Yes. The browser tries to decode them locally first. If that fails, the app converts the photo on its server in memory only and returns a metadata-free JPEG. It stores no conversion file. If conversion fails, choose JPEG instead.

What about vintage themes?

The app block needs a compatible product section in an Online Store 2.0 theme. If Home identifies a vintage theme, use a compatible theme or consult Shopify's theme support before adding the block. Save changes in the theme editor and check each product template.

How do you protect room photos?

The standard preview renders on-device. HEIC fallback uses only server memory. Remember this room is opt-in, storing a reduced copy in this browser for up to 7 days of reuse. Other scripts on the store (the theme and other apps) can read site storage. “Forget this room” deletes it. See the privacy policy for processors, retention and deletion details. Avoid people and private documents in photos.
